The making of each piece goes through various stages. The imagery, the lump of clay, the molding, then the sculpting. After the sculpting is complete, the hardening process begins in a controlled heat environment. When the piece is hardened and cooled the painting begins, this also takes various stages. Base layers, toning, painting, details and highlights. After all the paint is complete, the additions, screws, hooks, moss, and other details are fixed. The final piece is now complete for presentation.
After it's been fired and cooled the base layer is applied and a white base applied to the eyes.
After Final tone, wash, and paint layers are complete, the details are painted and character is brought to life.
